As a startup, you know how to pitch to an investor, it’s the number one lesson everyone teaches you. But when it comes to journalists, it’s a whole other ballgame. Unless you’re married to one, how often do you bump into a journalist? It’s not everyday you get to ask them a few questions about the dos and don’ts of selling your product. Join this event for overcoming this barrier. After a 30 min speeddating session, (1 journalist every 3 minutes), the journalists will decide who had the best pitch and give you their feedback and tips to have a perfect journalistic pitch.

Speeddating: 30min, 10 startups, 10 journalists, change of partner every 3 minutes.
Debrief: 10min. Separate debriefing sessions for the startups to review their performance and for the journalists to produce their individual and collective feedback and select the best pitch (journalistic point of view).
Feedback: 20min. Journalists give the startups their feedback and 3 reasons why the winner gave the best pitch + 3 common mistakes made while pitching.
Networking: talk to journalists more in-depth.

The Meet-a-Media format
was created by Becomewide, the session was launched in Berlin (Betahaus, Hackers/Founders), and then spread to Brussels (Betacowork, and now Madrid with TechHub. Journalists from local and international media have participated, as Wired or WSJ.
